BMW Cars

BMW Cars and a Couple of Their Most Famous Models
Just a couple of years after this in 1936, the brand was back again with a BMW type roadster, which became a high-selling model and one of the most successful and popular sports cars of the era.

After 1949, BMW continued to develop new vehicles, creating the BMW 501,502 and 507 engines and later on the 1500, the 1600, the 1800 and the 2002.
These models helped to establish BMW as a market leader for sports vehicles and after 1970 the company became the world-renowned and forward-thinking company that they are now.

In their early years, the BMW's New Class, a range of sporting coupes and sedans, were made and continued to be developed until 2002. It was the popularity of the New Class range that impressed car fans and really set BMW in good stead to become an established global car maker. All of the cars in the New Class collection were fitted with the M10 four-cylinder engine; they also featured a fully independent suspension system and front disc brakes for safer and faster breaking.
Some of the more recent models include the 3 Series, 7 Series, X3 SUV and the M3 Coupe.

Now in its fifth generation, the mid-sized executive BMW 3 Series is currently in its fifth generation of production. It was so popular that it is now been adapted and is available as the convertible E93, the coupe E92, the sporty sedan E90 and the station wagon E91 models. It has even been adapted into the 5 Series Gran Turismo, which is a fusion of a station wagon and a crossover SUV.

Perhaps the most popular executive sedan from BMW is the 7 Series and it has even caused a number of models to be made as offshoots. This has much to do with the success of the iDrive system as it was the first model to utilise a hydrogen fuelled internal combustion engine, which releases only clean water as vapour.
The first crossover model to be made by BMW is the X3 SUV which is an off-roader to rival Jeep or Land Rover. The sports activity vehicles and coupes in BMW's range have seen a number of developments over the years with a couple of newer cars being brought out letting BMW take the reins as an all-round car maker rather than a manufacturer who simply makes sport coupes. This model has also garnered considerable interest with its innovative design and immense performance.
BMW has been keen to promote the efficiency of its vehicles and create environmentally responsible designs. The car company is part of the EPA, also known as the Environmental Protection Agency, and it is also affiliated with an initiative called the South Carolina Environmental Excellence Program.
The company takes its CO2 emissions seriously and has been proactive by developing new fuel solutions and engines with improved efficiency. Some of these features are available in BMW's new models which you can purchase or you may prefer leasing a BMW instead.
